About Blómstra

For as long as I can remember, I've always loved plants and flowers.  Some of my oldest memories involve lush tropicals from my first home in Florida, and, the seemingly giant at the time, birds of paradise and hibiscus in the courtyard of our home in Rota, Spain.  We had a gardener called Antonio who very graciously entertained my little brother and I all while going about his job of maintaining our beautiful garden.  The language barrier did not prevent him from placing tools in our hands and encouraging us to get our hands into the soil as he went along with his tilling and planting. When we moved back state-side, my mother further stoked my interest by walking me through our raised beds to pull weeds, find fresh growth, and search for new and exciting plants from our local nurseries.  As I've grown older, I've realized that while I was not only learning, I was able to spend invaluable quality time with someone I love.  My hope in Blómstra is to do just that; provide people an opportunity to learn a new skill, surrounded by the natural beauty of plants, all the while creating beautiful  memories.
